Well, if you have been previously downgrading your iPhone 4 and iPad 2 and stuck in recovery loop, we have a solution. Notcom, the creater behind TinyUmbrella has developed yet another tool to downgrade your iPhone 4 and iPad 2 from recovery loop. Basically, the TinyCFW lets you create a custom firmware which can be restored on your iDevice using iTunes.
The downgrade process works for the firmware below iOS 5.x. It simply means that if you are on iOS 5.0.1, you can’t downgrade back to iOS 5.0 using TinyCFW. Instead, you can revert back to iOS 4.x.x if you had saved SHSH Blobs of the respective firmwares in the past. Please note that it is not an unlock or a JailBreak tool. TinyCFW would update the BaseBand of your iPhone 4 or iPad 2, both GSM and CDMA during the restore process.
If you rely on an unlock for iPhone 4, please don’t use TinyCFW. The custom firmware build from the tool wouldn’t preserve the baseband in anyway. For that purpose, you need to use Redsn0w from DevTeam or Sn0wbreeze. There is also a way with which you can save SHSH blobs for iOS 5.0./iOS 5.0.1 through iFaith which could be used in the future. So, we advise you to save them as soon as possible.
Any other device except iPhone 4 and iPad 2 are not supported yet. Due to the fact that it is an initial release, don’t forget to rename tinycfw-0.1.jar to tinycfw.jar. Let’s know in the comment section if you have any doubts. We will reply back shortly.
